The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) is getting a major upgrade with the launch of a new digital platform on April 28, 2025. This new system, developed by C-DAC (Centre for Development of Advanced Computing), will improve how CGHS services are delivered to beneficiaries, including doctors, government employees, pensioners, and their families.
The upgrade comes after 20 years of using old software that no longer meets today’s IT and security standards. The new CGHS digital platform promises to be faster, safer, and more user-friendly.
