61 Drug and Cosmetic Batches Declared Not of Standard Quality by CDSCO in March 2025

The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) has flagged 61 formulations as Not of Standard Quality (NSQ) in its March 2025 drug alert. This list includes commonly used tablets, injections, syrups, cosmetics, and hygiene products that failed to meet Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP) or Cosmetic Rules, 2020 standards. These samples were tested and reported by various State Drug Testing Laboratories, including those in Telangana, Kerala, West Bengal, and Jammu & Kashmir.

The CDSCO releases NSQ alerts monthly to help healthcare professionals, pharmacists, hospitals, and medical entrepreneurs ensure patient safety. This move is also crucial for doctors managing their own clinics or pharmacies, who must monitor the quality of medicines and products they use or prescribe.
