The new AI radiology platform will be used by research teams at The Royal Marsden and the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) to test and assess various AI models across a range of cancers, including:

The goal is simple yet powerful: use AI to improve the accuracy of diagnosis and enable more targeted cancer treatments.

The service is built on a clinical MLOps imaging system developed by NTT DATA, which includes:
- High-performance Dell servers
- Advanced GPU processing
- AI model hosted by CARPL.ai
It provides tools for testing, monitoring, and refining radiology AI models in real-world clinical settings. This includes tracking how well AI models perform over time and in different types of cancer scans.
The project is funded by a three-year grant from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and is already being integrated into various research studies at the Royal Marsden.
