India has opened its doors wide for wellness investors from across the world. On May 29, 2025, the Government of India launched a new digital platform called Ayush Nivesh Saarthi, which aims to attract investments into the growing Ayush (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy) sector.
This important launch took place during the Ayush Stakeholder and Industry Interaction Meet held in New Delhi. It was led by Union Ministers Shri Piyush Goyal and Shri Prataprao Jadhav, along with other senior government officials and industry leaders.
What is Ayush Nivesh Saarthi?
Ayush Nivesh Saarthi is a digital investment portal created by the Ministry of Ayush in partnership with Invest India. It is specially designed to make it easier for investors, both in India and abroad, to explore, invest in, and grow wellness-based businesses.
The portal offers:
- Information on Ayush-related policies and incentives
- Investment-ready projects
- Real-time support and assistance
- A unified interface for decision-making
Why is this Important?
India’s Ayush sector is growing fast, at a rate of 17% annually between 2014 and 2020! As more people around the world choose natural, preventive, and holistic healthcare, India is becoming a leading destination for wellness-based services.
With 100% FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) allowed in this sector, the launch of Ayush Nivesh Saarthi is a big step in turning India into a global hub for wellness investments.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal said, “This portal is a message to the world—India is open for collaboration and innovation in traditional medicine and wellness.”
Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav added that this portal will help investors connect with India’s 8,000+ medicinal plants, a rich cultural heritage, and a growing wellness market.
