Renalyx Health Systems Pvt. Ltd., a leading name in kidney care innovation, has launched RENALYX – RxT 21, India’s first AI-powered, cloud-enabled smart hemodialysis machine. Made completely in India, this machine is a game-changer for both patients and doctors, especially in semi-urban and rural areas where access to advanced medical care is limited.
Why RxT 21 Matters for India
India sees over 2.2 lakh new End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) cases every year, which leads to a huge demand for more than 3.4 crore dialysis sessions annually. The launch of RxT 21 offers an affordable and efficient solution. Priced at just INR 6.70 lakh, this machine is far more budget-friendly than imported options, making quality dialysis care accessible at the grassroots level.
Advanced Technology in Renal Care
What makes the RxT 21 stand out?
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) for smart data analysis
- Cloud-based Telenephrology for remote patient care
- Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) for real-time performance tracking
- Nephrology Information System (NIS) and EMR integration
- Remote diagnostics and live alerts for doctors
Doctors can now access machine settings, patient history, and critical alerts remotely, enabling faster decisions and better outcomes.
Made in India, Made for the World
With this launch, Renalyx becomes the first Indian company and sixth globally to make such an advanced dialysis machine. The device already has EU CE certification, with Indian CDSCO approval expected by July 2025 and US FDA clearance by March 2026.
Renalyx plans to invest INR 800 crore over the next four years to scale up production and support growing demand, aiming to manufacture 5,000 machines annually by FY25- 26.
Local Manufacturing, Global Reach
Manufacturing units in Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Mumbai will support this massive scale-up. Renalyx also has international orders from South Africa, Europe, and the US, proving that India’s innovation is ready for the global stage.
Through local technician training programs and service teams, Renalyx will ensure machines are deployed smoothly across Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Community Health Centres (CHCs), private dialysis centres, and hospitals.
Partnership with BEL
Renalyx has also partnered with Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL) to manufacture 6,000 units of the earlier RxT 17 model, ensuring continuity and scalability in dialysis services.
A Vision for the Future
The Founder & Director of Renalyx shared that RxT 21 aligns with the Government of India’s ‘Make in India, Make for the World’ mission. The goal is to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership by 40% and make India a global leader in dialysis care and medical devices.
Looking ahead, Renalyx is working on launching home dialysis models and more smart machines to meet the growing needs of patients worldwide.
