Why This Matters
Infertility is a growing concern in India. Although there are 28 million infertile couples, only a small number currently receive proper treatment. Meanwhile, the country’s Total Fertility Rate (TFR) has declined from 5.9 in 1951 to 2.0 in 2021, with many states already falling below the replacement level.
India’s IVF market, worth USD 930 million in 2023, is expected to grow to over USD 5 billion by 2033, driven by growing awareness, better access, and social acceptance of fertility treatments.
Yellow Fertility’s Two-Phase Growth Plan
Yellow Fertility’s expansion strategy focuses on cities and towns that have high treatment needs but limited access. Their plan includes two main phases:
Phase 1 (2025–2027):
- Open 20 IVF centres
- Become the 4th largest IVF chain in India
Phase 2 (2027–2030):
- Expand to 100 centres (30 advanced L2 centres and 70 L1 centres) across Tier 1, 2, and 3 cities
- Achieve revenue of INR 750 crore
- Begin international expansion in South Asia (Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka), Africa (Ethiopia, Cameroon), and the Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar)
