In a big boost to India’s growing digital healthcare ecosystem, the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) has launched a MedTech Centre of Entrepreneurship (CoE) to support home-grown startups working on cost-effective, innovative healthcare solutions.
This new initiative is focused on helping startups create technologies that solve real medical challenges, especially in rural and remote areas of the country.
What Does MedTech CoE Offer?
The MedTech CoE provides startups with:
- Advanced labs for IoT and medical device testing
- Clinical mentorship from experienced doctors
- Business support, including funding, legal, and regulatory guidance
- Access to investors and government schemes
This is a complete ecosystem where healthcare startups can grow from idea to product.
Areas of Focus
Startups at the CoE are working on:
- AI-powered diagnostics
- Non-invasive medical devices
- Telemedicine platforms
- Emergency and assistive healthcare solutions
- Mental health technologies
So far, the CoE has supported 53 startups, and 10 of them have raised INR 3.38 crore in funding.

- Arficus – Created MEDHINI, the world’s first generative AI-based Software as a Medical Device, used in 12+ countries by 267+ clients.
- Dectrocel Healthcare – Developed a low-cost AI tool to detect lung diseases, making diagnostics more accessible.
- ONELearningEdusphere – India’s first simulation-based training platform for healthcare professionals, already training 5,000+ users.
- Manodayam – Uses AI to detect mental health issues such as depression and PTSD through voice analysis.
- MedCab Care – Offers real-time ambulance booking, including air ambulance integration.
- Flexi Innovation – Designed a Hybrid Assistive Chair with VR and gamification to help patients during rehabilitation.
