The Uttar Pradesh Government has taken a big step to strengthen India’s medical device manufacturing sector by launching a new scheme through the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA). The goal is to attract manufacturers to set up units in a Medical Device Park being developed in Greater Noida, which is expected to become the largest in India.
Key Highlights of the Scheme:
- 21 industrial plots are available in Sector 28, Greater Noida
- Applications are now open and will close on July 7
- Plot sizes:
- 16 plots of 1,000 sq. meters (₹77.30 lakh each, ₹7.73 lakh registration)
- 5 plots of 2,100 sq. meters (₹1.62 crore each, ₹16.23 lakh registration)
- Interested applicants can apply through the YEIDA and Nivesh Mitra official websites
Focus Areas for Manufacturing:
This scheme is targeting high-potential healthcare sectors, including:
- Cancer care devices
- Radiology and imaging equipment
- Implants and IVD (in-vitro diagnostics)
- Electronic medical devices
- Cardio-respiratory and renal care devices, including catheters
