The Maharashtra government has announced that all patients receiving treatment at government medical hospitals will be provided with the medicines they need directly by the hospital, eliminating the need to purchase medicines from private pharmacies. He further clarified that if any patient is compelled to buy medicines because of shortages within the hospital, strict action will be taken against the superintendent of the concerned hospital.
